New Caledonia

We hunt for the biggest Rusa Deer in the World on New Caledonia in conjunction with one of Australia’s top outfitters. There are few places in the World where it is possible to see hundreds of deer a day including many trophy stags. New Caledonia is a French territory with a population of 170,000.

This tropical Island is 300kms long by 50kms wide (180 miles by 30 miles), surrounded by crystal clear ocean water and coral reefs.

All hunting is free range and is carried out on a variety of the best private ranches in the country. Wild Boar and Turkeys can also be hunted and saltwater fishing.

There are direct flights to New Caledonia from Auckland and we can arrange these for you. Accommodation is normally arranged with the landowners and is comfortable with typical French cuisine.

The best time to hunt Rusa Stags is during July and August when they are rutting.

If you intend to take your own firearm, please ask us to forward the Firearms Declaration Sheet, to facilitate the importation of your firearm. All military style firearms and calibers are banned from New Caledonia.
